Circle of Crafters

The Past

The Past Patterns for paper lace, or "perforated cardboard work" as it was called, appeared in all the major ladies' journals of the time, including Demorest's Monthly Magazine, The Peterson Magazine, and Godey's Lady's Book.

A dozen or more pieces are in the collections of museums.  A few have even been found in flea markets and garage sales.

If you discover a piece of old perforated-paper work in a museum, would you please contact this website so we can record it?  Contact JMS@paper-lace.com.
